Irish E-Sports win Nokia Call of Duty 4 Championship

Irish E-Sports (PC) came first in the Game.ie Call of Duty 4 competition sponsored by Nokia and held in Xtreme internet and gaming centre in Dublin over the weekend. The team played 4 games during the course of the day with a a total round score of 44-9. .:iE/ Batman also took home an individual prize, a Nokia N95 8GB.

Irish E-Sports also came 3rd in the xbox side of the event. They were beaten in the semi-finals by Irish Contingent, team that eventually won the xbox competition.

All in all a very good weekend for Irish E-Sports. Between SkyLAN and Midlans we took home a total of €820, and that doesn't include any sponsored prizes (headphones, etc...)! Good game to Monkey Gamers early in the weekend, they're really great guys!
